Mercedes-AMG One Owns the Nürburgring

The Mercedes-AMG One can lap the Nrburgring Nordschleife in just over 6 minutes, making it the fastest production car around the famous track. The car’s powertrain is derived from the Mercedes-Benz Petronas F1.

Everyone knows that the new Mercedes-AMG One will be a brutal machine. Its powertrain was derived from a dominant Formula 1 team, and it will be hard to predict how it will perform on the track. To test its capabilities, the engineers from Mercedes-AMG and driver Maro Engel set a world record at the Nrburgring.

In just over 6 minutes, the new Mercedes-AMG One was able to lap the Nrburgring Nordschweite. It’s faster than the Porsche 918 supercar and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which was equipped with a Manthey Performance Kit. But, it’s over a minute slower than the lap that the 919 supercar made during its farewell tour.

The world record shows that the new hypercar from Mercedes-AMG will be fast on the track. It will be great for the company’s future customers.

The car’s 1.6-liter V6 hybrid engine is powered by a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2Rs tires. This is the same type of tire that the One will be wearing when it arrives at your house. Only 275 units of the car will be built at the factory. It’s believed that the new hypercar will go down in history as one the most absurd cars ever made.

The video above shows the entire lap of the Nrburgring Nordschweite, and it can provide you with valuable tips for the next time you go through the Green Hell.
